Ariane 1 (Aérospatiale)
The Ariane 1 is a non-reusable, inactive launch vehicle manufactured by Aérospatiale (established in 1970). It undertook its inaugural launch on 12/24/1979.
Ariane 1 was the first rocket in the Ariane family of expendable launch systems. It was developed and operated by the European Space Agency (ESA), which had been formed in 1973, the same year that development of the launch had commenced.

Aérospatiale
Aérospatiale was a French state-owned aerospace manufacturer that built both civilian and military aircraft, rockets and satellites. It was originally known as Société nationale industrielle aérospatiale (SNIAS). Its head office was in the 16th arrondissement of Paris. The name was changed to Aérospatiale during 1970.
