Apollo 13 mission did not make it to the moon the crew however, ( thanks to NASA scientists ) managed to clean the air they were breathing plus , conserved energy within the command service module so they could successfully splashdown back to earth .
NASA declared this mission as the most successful mission regardless of not landing on the moon.
This is dedicated to the crew of Apollo 13 , mission control and the scientists at NASA who together made the impossible , possible. A great acheivement which is now a “text book” of how to overcome a possible disaster .
And in those immortal words “Failure was not an option”.
