China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation was scheduled to launch a Kaituozhe-2 rocket as part of the Tiankun-1 mission. The launch window for the Test Flight mission was on Thu, Mar 2nd, 2017, 6:45 PM EST from Launch Area 4 (SLS-2 / 603), Jiuquan. The status of the launch was Success. This is the maiden launch of Kaitouzhe-2 rocket. Tiankun-1 is a new technology test satellite developed and built by China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation and it will be launched into a Sun-synchronous orbit.
