If you’re having trouble with the app crashing, not opening, or freezing after an update, it’s often caused by temporary data conflicts. Please follow these steps in order to resolve the issue.
Step 1: Force Close and Restart the App
A simple restart can often resolve minor glitches.
- Force Close the App:
- iOS: Swipe up from the bottom of the screen (or double-tap the Home button) to open the App Switcher. Swipe the app’s card up and off the screen to close it.
- Android: Go to Settings > Apps (or Apps & notifications). Find the app “Space Launch Schedule”, tap it, and select Force Stop.
- Reopen the App.
If the app still doesn’t work, proceed to the next step.
Step 2: Clear Temporary Data (Cache)
Clearing the app’s cache removes temporary files that may have been corrupted. This is the least intrusive step and will not delete your login information or saved progress.
For Android Users
- Go to your phone’s Settings.
- Tap Apps (or Apps & notifications / Application Manager).
- Find and tap the app’s name, “Space Launch Schedule”.
- Tap Storage (or Storage & cache).
- Tap Clear Cache.
For iOS Users
On iOS, there is no direct “Clear Cache” button for individual apps. The most reliable way to clear the cache is to proceed directly to Step 4: Reinstall the App.
Step 3: Clear App Data (Factory Reset the App)
⚠️ Important Warning: This step will delete all local data and settings. Only proceed if Step 2 did not work.
For Android Users
- Go to your phone’s Settings.
- Tap Apps (or Apps & notifications / Application Manager).
- Find and tap the app’s name, “Space Launch Schedule”.
- Tap Storage (or Storage & cache).
- Tap Clear Storage (or Clear Data).
- You will need to re-enter your login information after performing this step.
For iOS Users
The only way to completely clear the app’s data on iOS is to proceed to Step 4: Reinstall the App.
Step 4: Uninstall and Reinstall the App
If the issue persists, removing the app and downloading a fresh copy is the most effective way to ensure all corrupted files are gone.
- Uninstall the App:
- iOS: Press and hold the app icon until a menu appears, then tap Remove App > Delete App.
- Android: Press and hold the app icon and drag it to the Uninstall option.
- Restart your phone (power it off and on).
- Reinstall the App:
- Open the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
- Search for the app “Space Launch Schedule” and tap Install.
